Cheer Up, Emo Kid

Catcher in the Rye has to be the ultimate emo novel even though it took fifty years to come up with the perfect descriptive term.  

One of the beautiful things about working in Council Grove is that the potentially emo kids spend more time making fun of emo than actually being emo, so one of them put together a library display  to celebrate that fact.  Some of the books he showcased might be a bit of a stretch, but he put out anything gothic, punk, some music books, and novels like Perks of Being a Wallflower.
