Talking points on strong school media centers
On July 17, Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland signed legislation (Sec. 3306.10 of HB 1) that will phase in funding for licensed librarian and media specialists in Ohio’s schools, based upon school populations. The Ohio Educational Library Media Association has posted information on its website to help other states with their advocacy efforts, including a timeline with strategies, a wiki with talking points, a brief on why principals should support school libraries, and a fact sheet on strong school libraries....
