Read Across America

In honor of Dr. Seuss, March is designated as Read Across America month. To celebrate the month, we decided to determine which books from our collection represent each state. Library aide Elana Spittles searched the library catalog to come up with a list of books. Senior Jordyn Picolet drew a map of the United States, and senior Jessica Filkin did the lettering on the poster. We were surprised to learn that we have at least one book for every state except South Dakota! So, if you're interested in your own "Read Across America" challenge, check out the new poster in the library window!

Since her "Blind Date with a Book" bin was extremely popular in February, senior Jordyn Picolet designed a new bin with a St. Patty's Day focus. Students can read Jordyn's description of the books before deciding to try their "luck" and opening the bag.
