Mrs. Malcolm's 7th grade ELA classes just completed their Around the World unit of study. Students began by reading the graphic novel Around the World by Matt Phelan, which chronicles the journeys of three intrepid Americans who travelled around the world in unique and exciting ways. After completing the novel, students were put into research groups and assigned a continent. Each group chose a place on their continent to visit through research and created a trifold displaying the results of their research. When all of the presentations were put together, it added up to a trip around the world! On Thursday, September 29th, the students shared their research by giving presentations to staff, students, and community members. Here's a short video showcasing these students and their work:
